Inspired by a John Lennon song, this pattern makes a 12” square that’s best for advanced crocheters. This blooming, 3D flower will remind you of spring and all its beauty. Crochet mandalas are similar to crochet doilies; sometimes, the words are used interchangeably. The main difference, however, between crocheted doilies and mandalas is that mandalas are often a bit more solid, while doilies are more delicate, intricate, and lacy. They’re also excellent to give as a housewarming or hostess gift.

These pre-designed patterns will save hours of time and help you to create beautiful designs. Similar mandala designs are also observable in Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar. Central to every mandala, the circle is a universal symbol representing unity, wholeness, and eternity. In the context of a mandala, circles often encapsulate other shapes or patterns, signifying the universe’s vastness and the endless cycle of life and death. For a more free-style mandala design, use this second template with no cross lines. On the other hand, if you prefer a more structured approach, use the first template to draw your mandala. This might seem tragic, but it helps us remember that everything is temporary. We can appreciate beauty in front of us without missing it when it is gone. Remember, mandalas are more than just designs; they’re a journey into one’s own soul and the universe at large. Whether you’re an artist, a meditation enthusiast, or someone seeking to understand the deeper Mandala meaning, there’s something in it for everyone. An upward-pointing triangle often symbolizes male energy or Shiva, while a downward-pointing triangle represents female energy or Shakti. When these triangles interlock, they represent harmony and the union of male and female energies.

The spiritual essence surrounds the person, which allows people to achieve higher consciousness. Vary the size of each circle to create an interesting pattern. You will find your own style and this will develop with each new mandala that you draw. Your imagination is the most powerful tool you have so allow it to run free. I suggest starting with a circle about 7-8 inches in diameter initially to make things easier. In time you can make them smaller or larger to fit their use, but this is a good size to begin with. Find the centre of your mandala and line up the protractor. In the modern era, it is often the circular repetition of shapes within the design that defines it as a mandala.

This symbol came to the world from Eastern religious practices (Buddhism, Hinduism), where it was a sacred image of the world of deities. The word itself is translated from Sanskrit and means a “circle,” “disk,” and “center.” This is a sacred diagram, usually round, square, rectangular, or triangular. It helps to achieve concentration and higher states of consciousness. Moreover, a mandala diagram is a powerful ritual for cleaning the space of any area (sand mandalas) and a source of cleansing and transforming the energy of space.

I personally used the first template to trace the colored mandala, while I drew the black and white mandala directly onto the printed template without the cross lines. Whether you choose to draw straight on the print-out or use it as a tracing template, you can easily create stunning mandalas with my templates. You can also download the whole mandala drawing template bundle in PDF format for your convenience.

Paper – If you are keeping your mandala doodles in a sketchbook, pick one with thicker paper that can hold up to erasing, and whatever ink and potential paints you want to use. If you are just drawing simple mandalas with a pen, make sure the pages are thick enough so the ink doesn’t bleed through too badly to the other side. I can’t help but include a list of my favorite drawing supplies here! If you are serious about doodling mandalas, you’ll eventually want to enhance your drawing practice by using top notch art materials. This will make all the difference in the world with how satisfying it is to draw your mandala, as well as how they turn out visually.

For example, if you draw a circle on one of the lines, be sure to draw it in the same spot on the other lines. I chose to use two different colors of colored pencil to draw in my design. Sarah Stearns has helped millions of makers find their next craft project with free patterns and step-by-step tutorials on her blog, sarahmaker.com.

For this pattern, you’ll want to be familiar with working with crochet thread and working in eyelet foundation spaces (tutorial attached!). This beautiful design is broken into three parts, finally growing into the largest mandala pictured. However, you can stop sooner if you’d like a smaller option. Measuring only about 4.7” in diameter, this tiny little mandala can be used nearly anywhere to decorate for spring!

How to Make Webinars More Interactive

how would you design a webinar that would be interactive

Instead, introduce yourself to first-time viewers unfamiliar with your content. Also, other participants can use the chat box feature or breakout rooms to interact, which makes the event more fun. Ensure that everyone who attends the virtual event has the chance to get involved in some way. In many live events, interactions consist of verbal questions that appear at the end of the session as a call to action (CTA).

Something specific to do; just talking isn’t an engaging webinar

Some of our customers even stop talking and switch to reacting to the trending message. It's a breathe of fresh air for the audience because the webinar suddenly feels a lot more like a real conversation – instead of a webinar that's planned from minute 1 to minute 60. Technical glitches can happen while hosting live events, so you should lean on your platform’s tech support team to get you back on track. Always have a Plan B in place for potential issues so you’re ready and can adapt smoothly when problems arise. Encourage attendees to ask questions throughout the webinar, address questions in real-time, and allocate dedicated Q&A segments for deeper discussions.

What polling can’t tell you

It is very easy for your webinar to turn from the primary source of focus to a secondary passive source. First and foremost, this may seem unimportant, but you must ensure your webcam is framed on you and that you are well-lit. It may feel like an afterthought, but the audience is here to have face-to-face time with you. To help with micro-managing everything, you should explore having a moderator or a facilitator. It is also important to use the right setup if production value is important to your webinar. From the perspective of an attendee, there is a chance you’ve experienced how interactive webinars feel a lot more engaging.

What are the dos and don’ts of a webinar?

how would you design a webinar that would be interactive

One of the best ways you can make your webinars more interactive is by asking your guests questions. Use your presentation as a starting point where attendees can ask anything that jumps out at them. Spark the conversation by asking your guests first what they look forward to learning; this will warm them up to speaking with you in the audience. A great use case we saw was from a customer that included six poll questions at the beginning of a webinar. Once all the responses had been collected, the results became the basis of the material discussed during the webinar.

The Scary Question

Contrary to what you may believe, your audience loves receiving healthy feedback on their own projects or real-life uses of your products and services as they are related to your brand. Whatever is relevant to your webinar, give feedback as part of your presentation. Invite audience members in advance of your webinar to bring their questions, comments, and real-life experiences with your brand to the table for your critique and feedback.

Professional development Hosting A Webinar

Music is one of the most effective tools in terms of raising productivity and activating the brain. The traditional way to engage your audience and recapture their attention would be an ice-breaker. You can ask general questions such as where they are from or if they prefer tea or coffee and make more industry-specific queries. It’s essential to know the listeners’ opinions about the information provided and adjust the flow of a webinar accordingly. If your viewers say they are bored, perhaps it’s time to tell them a personal anecdote or show a funny picture. There are several excellent solutions available if you’re seeking for a webinar platform that supports interactivity.

As seen in this post, simply holding their attention is not enough. You have to take practical steps to make the presentation as interactive as possible. Interactivity is not just about interactions between the hosts and attendees.

When your audience stays attentive to the end, you’ll have a better chance of converting a good percentage of them into quality leads and paying customers. And that’s how to get a higher conversion rate from your webinars. However, it all starts with making your presentation more interactive for most attendees. If your audience tells you what they want, think about how you can deliver it in a way that’s more engaging than whatever the default might have been. Think about someone talking about “how to do X” compared to a session where people actually work through doing X. First, we know that a number of conferences do awards presentations and they’re struggling with transitioning those to a virtual environment.

Conduct Live and Automated Webinars with WebinarPress

It’s also a good idea to invite a moderator who can help you single out your viewers’ most frequent questions and concerns. But it’s good to keep the rule of a “golden middle.” Changing slides or format too frequently may be irritating and inefficient, as the listeners will find it hard to follow the speaker’s line of thought. This will not only benefit your guests, but it will also increase your credibility as an industry thought leader.

Moreover, when your attendees are actively participating in your webinar, they are more likely to take action. Polls are a great way to get more information from your audience. By associating yourself with a subject expert, you build brand authority as well. As you increase your audience’s emotional awareness and captivate them with your narrative, you also boost their ability to absorb your message more clearly.

For example, if you’re about to wrap up the webinar, you can ask if there are any remaining audience questions. In addition, constantly triggering interactions or verbally calling out questions interrupts the flow of the webinar presentation and can be distracting to even the most experienced host. One way to make your webinars more interactive is by creating visual slides and using handy features. They should contain appealing images, graphs, colors, and themes.

Download your free toolkit now and share your success stories with us. The reality is that most of us have probably thought that we need less planning and rehearsal than we actually do. But, on this point, it’s important to think about what’s realistic for you or for your presenters. Most people have day jobs and then they occasionally do a webinar or speak at a conference.

When it comes to hosting more interactive webinars, all headlines are not equal. The key point is that your engaging webinar title should be attractive enough to get clicks from the target audience members. Getting attendees to keep paying attention during live webinars is one proven way to uncover buyer objections.

If you choose one of the top-rated webinar platforms like Cloudpresenter, you can showcase the audience questions on screen. And that's one of the best ways to engage people with interactive tools when you want to answer questions. One of the big head-scratchers in the market today is virtual exhibit halls.

Polls are well distributed along the webinar, so participants do not lose interest and focus. But it is also possible to run a more intensive section with several votes in a row - perhaps based on each other, around a certain theme or specific issue. Read this Ebook to grow your webinar attendance rate and generate leads. You can also reinforce your brand’s identity and custom-design event rooms with Livestorm. Adding your brand colors, logo, and imagery gives a unique vibe to your event and connects your audience to you and your brand.

Plus, integrate real-life examples and case studies to help users understand things quickly and remember well. Firstly, you should remove all the unnecessary stuff from the webinar and stick to informative, valuable, and educational content that benefits your audience. Read the answers of a few of the attendees to ensure that you have understood their viewpoint. However, ensure that this conversion doesn’t take more than 2-5 minutes.

Future studies will adhere more closely to diagnostic criteria guided by clinical guidelines. Lastly, our study was conducted in a single tertiary hospital center and involved a highly selected population. Therefore, our results need to be tested in a broader population to enhance their applicability and generalizability. The ROC curves of PAC and ARR at screening for the prediction of PA in (A,B) patients with severe OSAHS, and (C,D) patients with moderate OSAHS. PAC, plasma aldosterone concentration; ARR, plasma aldosterone-renin ratio; ROC, receiver operating characteristic; PA, primary aldosteronism; OSAHS, obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome. The current study focused on patients at high risk of PA, specifically those with moderate and severe OSAHS combined with RH, and found that the prevalence of PA in this population was as high as approximately 27%.

Third, in some cases, when patients had only one positive result in CCT and SIT, and expressed a strong desire for surgery, we performed adrenal vein sampling (AVS) on them. Those confirmed by AVS with bilateral or unilateral excessive secretion of aldosterone were diagnosed with primary aldosteronism (PA). However, it should be acknowledged that this diagnostic criterion carries some degree of scientific uncertainty. The AVS examination is typically used for subtype classification rather than confirming the diagnosis of PA itself.

The individual should sit in a comfortable chair with their back supported and their arm positioned at heart level. Upper arm medical electronic blood pressure monitor (Omron HEM-7132) was used to measure blood pressure. When measuring blood pressure, the measurement should be repeated 1–2 min apart, and the average of the two readings should be recorded. If the difference between the two readings of SBP or DBP was more than 5 mmHg, it should be measured again and the average of the three readings should be recorded. Studies have suggested that the co-morbidity of OSAHS and PA can mutually affect and exacerbate each other (9, 10). Aldosterone excess could also damage the taste sensitivity of sodium chloride and promote increased salt intake, further facilitating water-sodium retention (23).

This portable grill comes with all the outdoor barbecue essentials, including savory snack mix, gourmet grilling sauce, cheddar and bacon cheese spread and more. However, at 2 h, patients in the OSAHS-PA group had significantly higher PAC levels compared to those in the OSAHS-no PA group, and the PAC suppression percentage was significantly lower in the OSAHS-PA group compared to the OSAHS-no PA group. Sea Pac Engineering, an A & B licensed general contractor with in-house design and craftsmen teams, provides clients with technically advanced design build, project execution, and consulting services. The 1.6 million square-foot campus presents nearly 100 boutique to international showroom brands, representing 2,200 product lines available to source by professional interior designers, architects, facility managers, decorators and dealers.

Our findings shed light on the diagnostic potential of the ARR and PAC as screening tools, with differential ARR cutoff values identified for diagnosing PA in patients with moderate and severe OSAHS (45 for moderate OSAHS and 42 for severe OSAHS). The lower ARR cutoff value for severe OSAHS suggested a higher risk of PA in this population, indicating that patients with more severe OSAHS might require earlier intervention for PA. This study contributes to existing knowledge by advocating for the nuanced application of ARR in screening practices, especially in settings where PA is prevalent among patients with OSAHS and RH. It is important to emphasize, however, that these indicators serve as preliminary aids and should not replace the confirmatory tests in PA diagnosis.

OSAHS-induced intermittent hypoxia leads to increased sympathetic activity, resulting in activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), which increases the risk of hypertension (3). Primary aldosteronism (PA) is a disorder in which the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex abnormally secretes aldosterone hormone, resulting in elevated plasma aldosterone concentrations and decreased plasma renin activity. PA is considered a common cause of secondary RH (6), the prevalence of which ranges from 3% to 13% in the overall population (7, 8). Before blood pressure measurement, the patients were asked to rest quietly for at least 5 min in a quiet, comfortable environment.
